This program is being redesigned for 2024 with an eye towards making it more equitable and diverse.
When finalized, CILASiM will welcome proposals from instrumentalists in Latin America who would like to apply for financial support in order to produce a recording of Latin American classical music. Although CILASiM does not expect to be able to completely fund such a project, the intent of the Institute’s subvention is to be a significant factor in its overall success.
Applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis in accordance with five criteria: content, credentials, feasibility, financial plan and timeline. Applicants should also expect to provide CILASiM with a negotiated number of copies of the final product, which would be commercialized through the Institute’s publishing department, Cayambis Music Press.
